Bluefish Raises $20M to Power AI Marketing

Bluefish, the leading AI marketing platform built for the Fortune 500, announced it has raised a $20 million Series A funding round led by NEA, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Crane Venture Partners, Swift Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta. This latest round brings total funding to $24 million within just 12 months of launch.

Alongside the funding, Bluefish unveiled Custom AI Audiences, a breakthrough capability that allows brands to manage and optimize their AI performance with unmatched precision and control.

As AI becomes the go-to channel for product discovery and purchasing decisions, Bluefish is helping enterprise marketers gain visibility and influence over how their brands appear in AI-generated responses. In just the past six months, the company has achieved 10x revenue growth and added enterprise customers such as Adidas, Tishman Speyer, and Omnicom. The new funding will accelerate product innovation while scaling engineering and customer-facing teams globally.

“Over the past year, the way consumers find and buy new products has radically changed, migrating from conventional search to AI,” said Alex Sherman, CEO of Bluefish. “Search marketers were the first to recognize this shift in consumer behavior, but it is increasingly clear that the entire enterprise marketing stack will need to be reimagined for AI. Successful marketers will need a suite of AI-native tools to track, measure, and optimize for this new channel. These tools will be critical to winning customers who are now spending more time in AI than on the open web. That’s what we are building at Bluefish.”

Reimagining the Enterprise Marketing Stack for AI

Bluefish analyzes millions of AI prompt responses across leading platforms, providing brands with real-time insights into how large language models (LLMs) surface their products and messaging. With these insights, enterprise marketers can shape their brand presence across ChatGPT, Meta AI, Google AI, and other AI-driven environments.

The platform supports all core marketing functions—search, content, brand, and communications—through its flagship capabilities:

  • AI Monitoring – Track brand positioning and performance across AI channels in real time

  • AI Optimization (AIO) – Adjust content strategies to capture new opportunities

  • AIO Measurement – Measure the business impact of optimizations against tailored AI KPIs

Unlike generic AI tools, Bluefish provides enterprise-grade transparency and control, allowing customers to design custom prompt methodologies that reflect their unique business goals.

“Our customers represent some of the most sophisticated marketers in the world,” said Jing Feng, COO of Bluefish. “They need customized solutions that enable differentiation in order to stay ahead. Generic one-size-fits-all platforms will inevitably fall short.”

Rapid Enterprise Adoption

Since launch, more than 80% of Bluefish customers have come from the Fortune 500, spanning industries such as financial services, automotive, CPG, and beauty. The company already operates at global scale, supporting international brands across multiple markets and languages.

“We’re living through a paradigm shift as AI transforms how consumers discover, evaluate, and buy—the stakes for global brands have never been higher. Bluefish was built from the ground up to support the needs of enterprises, and is led by a proven team that has guided CMOs and marketing teams through the last major transitions of the internet. We believe Bluefish is defining the enterprise category for AI marketing,” said Ann Bordetsky, Partner at NEA.

Bluefish is led by a seasoned founding team with two decades of experience building marketing technology for the world’s largest brands. CEO Alex Sherman previously co-founded PromoteIQ, acquired by Microsoft in 2019. CTO Andrei Dunca co-founded LiveRail, acquired by Facebook in 2014. COO Jing Feng has held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, PromoteIQ, and LiveRail.

“We have learned a lot about what it takes to deliver at Fortune 500 scale,” said Jason Spinell, Partner at Salesforce Ventures. “Bluefish is one of the few AI marketing platforms we’ve seen that is purpose-built for enterprise complexity. For brands who are looking for a partner that actually understands enterprise, Bluefish stands out.”
