Highwire, a strategic marketing communications agency, has declared that it has successfully acquired The Bliss Group, an insight-driven PR & Marketing agency. This acquisition has resulted in a new entity that is purpose-built for organizations that are fast-paced in growth. This new agency is designed to integrate marketing communications strategy with business results delivered at a scale, speed, and sophistication that is necessary for modern brands.
As established players within their respective sectors, Highwire and Bliss individually possess a comprehensive agency offering, but when combined, the new company presents a far more integrated approach for clients seeking assistance with reputation-building, demand acceleration, and growth. Supported by senior-level expertise, an AI-forward technology foundation, and deep category knowledge, Highwire helps influential brands navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
“Uniting Highwire and Bliss answers the need for partners who can turn complexity into competitive advantage, and innovation into measurable influence,” said Michael O’Brien, CEO of Highwire. “Clients want sharper thinking, integrated execution, and partners who move as fast as their business demands. The combined power of our agencies will deliver that in spades for current and future client partners.”

Following the acquisition, Bliss CEO Cortney Stapleton will assume the newly created role of Chief Strategy and Business Officer at Highwire. In this position, she will oversee go-to-market and performance strategy across Highwire’s industry sectors, with a strong emphasis on delivering meaningful, results-driven client outcomes. Stapleton will also join Highwire’s Board of Directors.
“Highwire and Bliss were built on shared foundations of deep industry insight, trusted client partnerships, and a belief in the power of storytelling to drive real business outcomes,” said Cortney Stapleton. “By bringing our teams and capabilities together, we’re creating something bigger and bolder: a platform where our clients get more value, our people have more opportunities, and our work delivers even greater impact.”
The acquisition also unifies the firms’ healthcare expertise under Highwire Health, a single, integrated practice that combines Highwire Health, Bliss Bio Health, and the broader healthcare capabilities of both organizations. This offering spans consumer health, digital health, healthcare delivery, life sciences, and medtech, serving organizations operating at the intersection of technology, regulation, and patient impact. Michael Roth, managing partner of Bliss, will step into the role of General Counsel and Executive Chair of Highwire Health.
Together, the combined entity provides over 250 professionals in North America with end-to-end solution capabilities mapped to the entire buyer journey. These range from strategic positioning and storytelling, overall marketing and demand generation, communications and executive visibility, AI-infused insights and analytics, full-service creative production, to overall services in corporate reputation, crisis, and high-stakes communications.
The formation of the combined agency reflects increasing demand for modern partners that can seamlessly connect insight to execution and reputation to growth in a fragmented media and communications landscape. Built for this moment, Highwire helps organizations communicate with purpose, act decisively, and turn innovation into lasting influence.
