Roku UK Launches FAST Channels to Expand Content Offering

Roku is ushering in a new era of free streaming for UK audiences with the launch of its first-ever FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels on the Roku platform. Rolling out in October 2025, the launch will bring 40 always-on channels, offering viewers 24/7 curated streaming at no cost on both new and existing Roku devices.

FAST channels deliver a seamless, lean-back viewing experience, curated around specific genres or titles, with no sign-ups, subscriptions, or fees required. This expansion follows Roku’s successful rollout of FAST channels in North and South America, where The Roku Channel has emerged as a leading destination for free, ad-supported entertainment.

Diverse Content for Every Viewer

The UK lineup will span entertainment, lifestyle, true crime, classic TV, documentaries, and niche genres, giving audiences more choice than ever.

This varied lineup ensures that viewers can enjoy content tailored to their interests while providing advertisers with premium opportunities to connect with engaged audiences through personalized ad campaigns.

“With the launch of our first FAST channels in the UK this October, we’re giving viewers more choice than ever before – from iconic series and films to new favourites and niche genres – all for free,” said Richard Halton, Country Manager, Roku UK. “It’s an exciting step forward as we continue to expand and open up new opportunities for advertisers to reach highly engaged audiences.”

Seamless Access Across Roku Devices

FAST Channels will be accessible through The Roku Channel and the newly introduced Live TV zone. The Roku Channel is exclusively available on Roku streaming players and Roku TV models in the UK. Additional features include What to Watch, providing personalized recommendations across devices, alongside Roku’s recently launched streaming players, further expanding access for UK audiences.

With this launch, Roku strengthens its position as a leading platform for free, high-quality streaming content while offering brands new avenues to engage viewers with relevant, targeted advertising.
