Kiteworks, the platform that enables organizations to manage risk across every instance of sending, sharing, receiving, and handling private content, announced the acquisition of Zivver, a leading secure email provider based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This strategic move enhances Kiteworks’ secure communication offerings and significantly expands its reach across the European market, bringing onboard Zivver’s expert team and its strong base of enterprise and public sector customers.
Zivver leverages machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to understand the context of sensitive email communications and minimize human error—widely regarded as the top cause of email-related data breaches. Its innovative technology uses a zero-knowledge, zero-access encryption architecture, ensuring that only the sender and the intended recipient can access the protected content. This approach upholds the highest standards of privacy and data security, especially critical in regulated industries.
Strengthening the Kiteworks Private Data Network
With this acquisition, Kiteworks will integrate Zivver’s advanced AI-driven secure email capabilities into its Private Data Network-a unified platform that safeguards email, file sharing and collaboration, SFTP, managed file transfer (MFT), enterprise AI, and secure web forms. The platform also includes Next-generation Digital Rights Management (Next-gen DRM), powered by SafeEDIT, to provide robust visibility and control over private data across all communication channels.
