Meta Shares New Perspectives on the Economic Value of Social Connectivity

Meta has collaborated with researchers from Harvard and Stanford on a new report to examine the relationship between social connections and economic opportunity.

As per Meta, “The researchers found that social connections play an important role in helping people achieve economic mobility. Neighborhoods that foster more connections between low-income and high-income people tend to have higher levels of mobility.”

Additionally, Meta has made the data accessible to the general public, enabling users to browse the various connectedness data points and assess the degree of resulting economic opportunity in their area.
