Rakuten Advertising has introduced Innovation Labs, a new AI-centric collaboration hub within its Insights & Analytics portal aimed at accelerating the development and real-world application of artificial intelligence across its global affiliate marketing network. The initiative reflects years of investment in the company’s Affiliate Intelligence suite and aligns with the broader Rakuten Group’s “Triple 20” commitment to drive 20% greater efficiency through AI for internal teams, clients, and partners. Innovation Labs gives advertisers and publishers a dedicated space to explore, test, and co-create future-forward AI capabilities designed to improve ad spend efficiency and engagement outcomes, effectively shortening the AI build–measure–learn cycle.

At launch, the platform offers AI Recommendations that help advertisers identify high-potential publisher partners by analyzing multidimensional profiles and campaign attributes, while publishers benefit from AI-driven product insights that streamline research and monetization by identifying trend-aligned offerings for targeted audiences. Guided by ongoing experiments from Rakuten’s Data Science team and partner feedback, Innovation Labs will continuously evolve with new features. Rakuten frames this as a collaborative engine to experiment, scale AI use cases, and accelerate growth for brands, publishers, and the affiliate marketing ecosystem.
