According to a corporate blog post, TikTok has created a commerce solution called Shopping Ads that contains three new advertising types.

Video Shopping Ads add a sponsored “Shop Now” banner at the bottom of postings, which users can press to access a landing page and then link to the brand’s website to make a purchase. Catalog Listing Ads enable marketers to link to a comprehensive catalogue within their TikTok campaigns, whilst Live Shopping Ads route users who are scrolling through the For You page to live shopping events.

TikTok is now testing all three offers as it modifies its social commerce strategy in preparation for the holiday season. The formats are accessible through the app’s advertising manager’s Product Sales media-buying aim.
