Airlines, hotels, and retail lobby groups have requested European Union tech regulators to ensure that search engines like Google take their views into account and not the big intermediaries while undergoing modifications to comply with landmark tech rules.
Many lobbyists like European airline groups with members including Air France KLM and British Airways owner IAG, along with Ecommerce Europe, Independent Retail Europe, European Hotel Forum, hotel group Hotrec, and EuroCommerce, had raised concerns in March about the effect of the new rules.

The compliance implemented by the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) implies a list of dos and don’ts on Google and five other companies. This law is imposed with the aim of offering users more alternatives and creating fair competition amongst the rivals. However, the lobby groups raised concerns that the modifications could have a significant impact on their revenues.
