Telnyx announced the general availability of its RCS Business Messaging via its global RCS API, enabling businesses to send branded, interactive messages-complete with carousels, suggested replies, rich media, and verified sender identities-directly within native messaging apps, with seamless SMS fallback for legacy users. “This is a tipping point for business messaging,” said David Casem, CEO of Telnyx. “For the first time, brands can reach nearly every smartphone user with interactive, trusted messages in the default messaging app.” The company emphasizes developer-centric infrastructure, offering verified sender authentication, interactive features like embedded payments and location sharing, and robust analytics, webhooks, and global direct-to-carrier connectivity.

With Apple supporting RCS in iOS 18 and Android already onboard, Telnyx positions its launch at a pivotal moment for the industry—a “new era of engagement” where businesses can enhance SMS and OTT channels rather than replace them. “Whether it’s a clickable product carousel or a real-time order update, RCS gives brands the ability to create moments of engagement that feel native, personalized, and secure,” added Juan Hidalgo, Director of Messaging Connectivity. This launch signals a shift toward richer, more trusted customer communication at scale.
