Interact Enhances Workplace AI With Cross-System Search Capabilities

Interact

Interact, the employee experience platform provider behind digital workplace solutions for global enterprises, has introduced Action Agent, a new AI capability designed to moderate intranet content and help organizations manage community risk at scale.

The launch expands Interact’s growing portfolio of AI-driven workplace tools and builds on the company’s broader agentic AI platform strategy. Action Agent joins Signal Agent as part of Interact’s progression toward AI systems that not only listen and learn, but also take action across enterprise environments.

The latest platform release also introduces enhancements to AI Search functionality and expanded integration capabilities with Workday workflows.

New capabilities announced by Interact include:

  • Action Agent for automated content moderation, task completion, and enterprise-wide answer discovery
  • Expanded AI Search across uploaded documents and connected workplace systems
  • Enhanced Workday integration supporting PTO requests directly from the intranet homepage
  • Mobile authentication allowing frontline employees to sign in using Google or Apple credentials

The updates are designed to help enterprises improve internal communication, reduce operational friction, eliminate information silos, and strengthen governance around employee-generated content.

The announcement follows Interact being ranked #1 in the 2026 ClearBox Consulting Intranet and Employee Experience Platforms Report, where the company was recognized for “significant innovation, especially around AI.”

“Every great enterprise wants to give its people the fastest path to the best work of their careers. Seven things make that possible — communication, knowledge, tools, community, alignment, recognition, and self-service — and enterprises deserve a platform that meets every one of them. That’s what drives our innovation,” said Simon Dance, CEO of Interact. “Signal Agent listens. AI Search enables learning. Action Agent safeguards. We’re not adding features. We’re building the AI-driven platform that meets all seven needs better than anything else on the market.”

One of the primary focuses of Action Agent is enterprise community moderation. As organizations increasingly rely on employee-generated content and internal collaboration platforms, concerns around compliance, brand reputation, and workplace culture continue to grow.

The AI system can automatically flag or remove inappropriate or potentially risky content based on predefined classifications, helping organizations scale community management without significantly increasing administrative overhead.

According to findings shared by Interact from a recent AI Masterclass poll involving more than 200 professionals, 39% of respondents said AI-generated outputs often feel generic, while 19% expressed concerns around trust and reliability. The company positions Action Agent as part of a broader push toward more transparent, enterprise-grade AI systems focused on governance and quality control.

Interact also expanded its AI Search capabilities to support uploaded documents and integrated enterprise systems such as SharePoint and ServiceNow. The enhancement allows employees to retrieve information across multiple workplace platforms using natural language queries, reducing time spent searching across disconnected systems.

Additional workflow improvements aim to simplify routine employee tasks. Users can now submit PTO requests directly through the intranet homepage via the expanded Workday integration, while frontline and deskless employees gain simplified mobile access through Google and Apple-based authentication.
