Pipedrive Introduces Native MCP Server to Bring Secure CRM Workflows with AI Assistants

Pipedrive

Pipedrive has introduced a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables customers to securely connect their CRM with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP-compatible tools, allowing sales teams to access and manage live CRM data using natural language. Thanks to the protocol that is an open one, the connection will enable the AI assistants to interact with the real-time CRM data, respecting user permissions and providing the full auditability of each performed action. With the help of the MCP server, the customers will be able to search deals, contacts, organizations, and leads; create and update the CRM records; convert the leads to the deals; schedule activities; gain insights about the pipeline; turn the meeting notes into CRM data; as well as perform the follow-ups and multi-step sales workflows without changing applications.

“Salespeople increasingly start their day with AI assistants. The question is no longer whether CRM data should be available in those environments, but how to make that access secure, reliable and genuinely useful,” said Joe Futty, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Pipedrive. “With Pipedrive MCP, we’re giving customers direct, secure access to their sales data and workflows wherever work happens. This is an important step toward a future where Pipedrive’s intelligence isn’t confined to a single interface, it’s embedded in every tool, every conversation and every decision a sales team makes.” “MCP will fundamentally shift the relationship between AI and CRM. Instead of AI summarizing data after the fact, it becomes an active participant in the sales process. Pipedrive becomes a trusted data backbone that makes AI actually useful in practice.”
