PhotoShelter has launched Metadata Templates, a new capability within its digital asset management (DAM) platform, which helps enterprise teams manage their metadata process efficiently without interrupting the workflows of the team members. The new feature works perfectly for organizations that deal with high numbers of images and videos and helps them automate the metadata management process. This means that the users will not be required to enter any copyright data or keywords manually because they can set up metadata settings in advance and apply them to multiple files at once. Also, users can set the behavior of each field in a specific way, and it will be saved in a particular template.

In order to overcome challenges related to migration, this functionality will allow importing files from TXT and XMP files and also images that include IPTC metadata. The functionality will prove especially useful for sport organizations, universities, brands, and companies working with large amounts of pictures, marketing, and promotional videos as consistent metadata increases their searchability, organization, and reusability. Through automation of tedious work with metadata, PhotoShelter strives to increase efficiency. “Our customers are managing millions of assets across dozens of workflows,” said Andrew Fingerman, CEO of PhotoShelter. “Metadata Templates is about giving them back time and consistency at the same time.”
