PostcardMania, the $119 million marketing technology firm with over 390 staff, is adding snap apart mailers to its direct mail automation offerings through its multi-million-dollar tech-driven division PCM Integrations.
Snap-apart or snap pack mailers are mail pieces sealed with perforated tear-off edges often used in official government correspondence, lending an official appearance that businesses can leverage to improve open rates and response. Snap packs impart an impression of urgency and boast a 95% open rate. Studies also show consumers trust direct mail more than digital channels, further boosting the potential response for snap-aparts. One research study found that out of 1,200 consumers, 76% said they trusted direct mail, while only 25% trusted online pop-up ads and 43% trusted digital ads on social media.

Snap packs work well for most industries, but are particularly successful for businesses in the insurance, real estate, finance, and healthcare industries. These notices can be triggered directly from a CRM, for example, as a customer’s insurance policy is close to expiring or for timely heathcare notices to ensure patients keep up with their annual visits.
“Snap pack mailers are specifically formulated to be highly trusted,” said PostcardMania Founder and CEO Joy Gendusa. “This increases response to ensure businesses are spending their marketing dollars as wisely as possible for maximum revenue growth. With business costs increasing across the board — and digital ad costs up around 50% the last few years — it’s become more important than ever to ensure we offer the most cost-effective and results-generating products and services possible. Trigger-based snap-packs are a natural evolution of that mission.”
