epocrates has partnered with healthcare demand-side platform DeepIntent to introduce programmatic advertising directly into clinician workflows for the first time. The collaboration makes epocrates’ clinical inventory programmatically available, allowing healthcare marketers to engage verified healthcare professionals within the platform clinicians use for medication information and clinical decision support. With more than one million active prescribing clinicians and hundreds of thousands of daily drug reference interactions, epocrates provides advertisers access to high-intent clinical moments tied closely to prescribing activity and treatment decisions.

“For years, programmatic access in healthcare has focused on where care happens—not how decisions are made,” said David Minkin, President and General Manager of epocrates. “Together with DeepIntent, we’re changing that. This partnership brings programmatic access directly into the clinician workflow, enabling engagement at the moment clinical decisions are happening.” DeepIntent said the integration enables life sciences brands to use real-time contextual signals, including drug lookups and clinical activity, while delivering campaigns in a logged-in, brand-safe environment designed to support more precise healthcare advertising and audience targeting.
