The acquisition combines Anglera’s agentic product data enrichment engine with Coveo’s platform, helping manufacturers, distributors and enterprise retailers make products easier to find, compare, and buy, both on their own eCommerce websites and through AI-powered shopping assistants.
Coveo, the Experience AI leader, acquired Anglera, a San Francisco-based, AI-native product data enrichment company backed by Y Combinator. The acquisition adds Anglera’s agentic enrichment platform to its Commerce offering. Together, the companies will help ecommerce teams turn product data into a competitive advantage, giving buyers and AI assistants the information they need to find, compare, and choose the right products.
The acquisition reflects a shift in how buyers discover and purchase products. Buyers increasingly use AI assistants alongside ecommerce websites to research and compare products. But critical details and attributes, such as dimensions, materials, and compatibility, are often missing or inaccessible. Without this information, search engines and AI assistants can overlook relevant products, making it harder for buyers to find what they need. NielsenIQ estimates missing product attributes can reduce product discoverability by up to 30%.
“AI is transforming how people find and buy products, whether they’re shopping on an ecommerce website, sourcing industrial components through a B2B portal or asking an AI assistant for guidance. In every case, the products with the best data are easier to find and buy,” said Laurent Simoneau, CEO and Co-founder of Coveo. “Anglera enriches data at the source, and Coveo connects it to what buyers are looking for. Together, we help our customers improve product discovery, create better buying experiences and increase sales.”

Better Product Data Drives Better Product Discovery
Anglera was purpose-built for complex B2B and B2C catalogs, where products can have hundreds of technical attributes, and accuracy is critical. Its agentic AI engine extracts product details from manufacturer specifications, PDFs, images, and other sources, then standardizes and validates them against each customer’s catalog requirements, retaining source references to support accuracy and trust.
“We started Anglera because so much valuable product knowledge sits in documents that no team can process by hand at scale,” said Ray Iyer, Co-founder of Anglera. “We built an engine that reads those sources the way an expert would and ties every attribute back to where it came from.”
By enriching the underlying product data, Anglera makes this data more useful across channels, from onsite search and recommendations to external AI assistants, driving both Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). In a 30-day A/B test with an apparel retailer, product pages with Anglera-enriched data saw a 120% increase in organic landing-page traffic and a 270% increase in AI-referred visits, relative to a control group.
