Mindshare, a leading media services company within GroupM and WPP, has named Vinish Mathews as its new Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Mathews will oversee strategic direction, innovation initiatives, and growth strategies for teams and businesses.
Mathews brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Managing Director for Mindshare China and spearheaded Unilever India’s Personal Care portfolio at Mindshare Fulcrum. His projects have been honored with over 100 global awards, including accolades from Emvies, the Festival of Media, MMA Smarties, and Cannes. Prior to his tenure at Mindshare, Mathews held a key role at EssenceMediacom, where he managed Google and led integrated media offerings for all of Google’s consumer apps and hardware.
With over two decades of experience in the media industry, Mathews has successfully led client relationships and teams across diverse markets such as China and India. His expertise spans various sectors, including technology, e-commerce, FMCG, automotive, tourism, and vision care. Throughout his career, Mathews has focused on strategic brand management, full-funnel planning, revenue management, and client stewardship, facilitating immersive consumer connections through media.
