Morning Brew, which owns and operates the most beloved brands in business media, has announced Sara Badler as its new chief commercial officer, advertising. Badler, an industry leader, joins the Morning Brew team as it prepares for a transformative year ahead.
Badler will lead Morning Brew’s efforts in driving revenue growth across diverse industry verticals. She will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining revenue-focused initiatives — including the company’s thriving newsletter and podcast portfolio — working closely with teams in Sales, Strategy Operations, Insights, Analytics and the company’s Creative Studio.

Badler joins Morning Brew following an impressive tenure at Dotdash Meredith, where she served more than five years as chief revenue officer. As CRO, she oversaw enterprise advertising and partnerships. Prior to Dotdash Meredith, Badler worked as the head of programmatic advertising at The New York Times, where she led multiple departments including revenue, partnerships, advertising, business development and account management. She has also held various roles directing programmatic efforts at prominent media companies like Hearst and Forbes Media.
Badler resides in New York City. She holds a B.A. in American and Women’s Studies from Dickinson College.
