ImageKit has introduced DAM Agent, a native AI assistant integrated into its digital asset management (DAM) platform to simplify complex media management workflows through natural language interactions. Available to all ImageKit users at no additional cost, the DAM Agent enables creative, marketing, and operations teams to manage tasks such as asset discovery, metadata updates, taxonomy configuration, governance policy management, AI-powered tagging, bulk asset operations, image generation, and transformation URL creation using conversational prompts instead of manual configurations.

The platform is designed to reduce operational complexity for enterprises managing large media libraries while maintaining enterprise-grade controls through a human-in-the-loop approval process and existing permission structures. Key capabilities include natural-language asset search, AI-driven classification, bulk editing, governance automation, and real-time image transformation generation. The DAM Agent also supports in-platform guidance to help teams navigate advanced DAM functions more efficiently. “DAM interfaces have traditionally relied on browser-based workflows, complex JSON-based configurations, advanced filters, and multiple clicks. These systems were powerful, but they were not always designed for the speed and accessibility modern teams now need,” said Manu Chaudhary, co-founder and CTO of ImageKit.
